awkward (adj.)

Definition: embarrassing or inconvenient; caused by lack of socialgrace: an awkward moment

I think I had an awkward moment today.  I had one yesterday, also.

I seem to have a lot of these moments. But actually, I think I make a lot of these moments up; then, I have to deal with the fact that I actually made the situation more awkward by pointing out I was awkward, when in reality, nothing about the situation (myself included) was... See my point? :)

Yesterday's awkward wasn't so bad.  Today's was.  And it caused me to worry, and doubt myself and place guilt where guilt does not belong.  And I was reminded that I have a God Who is bigger than that ill-placed guilt/worry.

The wicked flee though no one pursues,
but the righteous are as bold as a lion.  Proverbs 28:1

I just had a thought... Some people in positions of authority like to say that if you feel guilty about something, you must have done something to acquire that guilt.  I don't necessarily agree, but, it is a biblical principle that those who do wicked things, run, even though they are not being chased.  Sin makes a man cowardly and fearful.

In other, very unrelated news, I was sick during the Super Bowl and missed all the commercials! The husby just showed this one to me and while you probably did not miss the commercials, it is hilarious! :)

until next time...
